We are a Shire of the Kingdom of Calontir within the Society for Creative Anachronism! Villa Frumentaria translates most directly to “grain farm,” and since we are located in the northwestern-most corner of the Kingdom of Calontir, well…we are surrounded by farms. We are centered in Spencer, Iowa, and we are composed of the towns of Sheldon, Spencer, Emmetsburg, Algona, Cherokee, Spirit Lake, Storm Lake, and dozens of towns within that geographical area.
We are a very active group and we are headquartered in Spencer at Game State. We host our business meetings on the first Sunday of the month, we host Heavy Fighting Practice on the second Sunday of the month, and we host our Arts and Science classes on the third Sunday of the month (adjusting for holidays and special occasions). We also hold other classes through out the week and are open to expanding what we do and how we do it!
