Events are what makes the SCA fun! We learn and love history, historical Arts and Sciences, creating works of art and items of utility using historically accurate methods and materials, and showing others what we’ve done! There’s also combat arts like heavy fighting, cut and thrust (combat fencing), archery, thrown weapons, and the list grows all the time as more and more events are adopted by the Society and the Kingdom of Calontir!
Events are where the SCA really shines and where we can really show off what we’ve worked on, and provide a place for others to do the same. They differ from our regular meetings in complexity and size, and of course, the King and Queen of Calontir generally don’t grace our regular meetings.
As we grow as a Shire, we will host more and more events, and that means we’ll hopefully have more planned in our Future Events as well as a growing number in our Past Events. Check those out and see where we’ve come from, how we’ve grown, and how we’re looking forward!
